It has always amazed me that we humans have the ability, or rather, audacity, to presume that we know things. In fact, human conflict tends to revolve around differences in opinion, presumptions and mental perceptions.
The height of human presumption is that we can dip out teaspoon sized brains into the infinite mind of God and come away knowing all truth.
Isaiah 55:9 - “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
Yet, we fight wars over our differences and focus great negative emotions toward those who disagree with us. The truth is, even at our best, and most intelligent days, whatever it is that we conceive as being God, He is more, much more,
We live in a limited world, confined to the nature of the physical reality that surrounds us. There is more, much more.
We think good thoughts about God and study our Bibles to find truth, yet He is more, much more.
We pray for help and for things we need and want, yet seldom expect that God will answer. He has more, much more.
We struggle to make ends meet and to pay our bills and manage our lives, but He extends His grace toward us in portions far beyond our imagination. He is more, far more!
We deal with the limitations of our careers, our limited reach and our partially fulfilled dreams. But He extends more, a whole lot more.
His love has no limits
His grace has no measure
His power has no boundaries known unto man.
For out of His infinite riches in Jesus –
He giveth, and giveth, and giveth again!
